Dream Builders
We named our volunteer project for Indonesia as “Dream Builders.”
Discovering the dire educational needs that are present in Indonesia, our organization’s first initiative was to support the construction of Asrama School in the Bunkulu District of Sumatra Island. Shortly after, we succeeded in fundraising enough to begin construction on the school building. It is soon to be completed in the summer of 2024.
With these funds, we were also able to expand the school into a pre-kinder, elementary, and secondary school despite the fact that the school was originally planned to become a theological seminary. The newly expanded school aims to provide complete education for local children and teenagers within three years.

Why Indonesia
Indonesia is a country consisting of over 17,000 islands. This unique geography has made it difficult for the government to implement consistent and centralized public education. Such imbalance affects children the most, as their need for education is the greatest and most urgent. Believing we have a remedy for this distinct situation, we chose Indonesia as the site to carry out our mission and project.
The name of our organization – Cinta Indonesia (Indonesian), which means love for Indonesia, therefore, is an epitome of our dedication and support for Indonesians.

Our Mission
We know ourselves to be privileged with abundant educational opportunities. Born in an academically motivated country and having grown up with supportive parents, we had enriching experiences attending international schools in Korea and boarding schools in the U.S.
As such education is a rare privilege, we felt a calling to dedicate our talents and energy to achieve educational equity among young people in regions that are deprived of such possibilities.
